I've been fanatic of what..? Anime? Yeah. But not only just Anime. I love everything about Japan. The culture. The history. The Language. Everything. 日本のこと全部大好きなの.
Anime was the root behind every success I've achieved so far. Even the reason why I started learning Nihongo. But this has nothing to do with what I want to write right now. It's much more about the voices behind the animes we're watching. No one seemed to care about the seiyuus (Though, apparently there are some who cares but most often than not they're just being left out... or maybe that's just me, no one really knows). I've seen some do care about the Seiyuu, but I don't know, there are more people who doesn't know anything about them or how big they've contributed to the industry of Animation.
I, once---or even today, still wishes that someday I can work as a Seiyuu, be it in my Native Language, English or much better in Nihongo. Am not bragging but my fluency in Nihongo is superb (in a matter of Enunciation/Intonation, I can't really say for sure how fluent I am today since I rarely speak nihongo, after I graduated College, everything just--- stalled).
But! I really wish that some (self-proclaimed Otaku) would realize how hard it is to be a Seiyuu, even just by watching Bakuman/Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, just working on Manga aren't easy at all, it's TOXIC. Like what they've portrayed in the Manga for sure in reality it is far more worst. Japanese are portrayed as workaholics and they would spend more time on work than with Family, it's true. That's why they're one of the G7 before. But really, I don't know if they're still part of G8 today, after what happened on Japan last march massive Earthquake, Tsunamis and Nuclear Power leakage, I don't know if they're still part of the G8. I've read that China overlapped Japan as the second richest country in the world (because of their Manufacturing prowess) and right after it was announced the worst, terrifying and most horrible tragedy came to Japan...
But enough said (enough of the segue-way), all I wanted if there are some who doesn't appreciate what Seiyuu can do, please think it over... I'm not really saying this because am 100% Japan otaku, but, what seiyuus do brings life to the character they portrayed. No offense to those dubbers (especially English dubbers) I can't feel the character they're portraying... Japanese are way too involved with the character making it more alive and much more realistic. So, please know more about Seiyuus 'cause they mean well and they brought life to every characters they're portraying.
